Let’s take a look at the tongue area map below, according to which each area is related to a different organ.

KI = Kidney
SI = Small Intestine
BL = Bladder
LI = Large Intestine
ST = Stomach
SP = Spleen
GB = Gall Bladder
LR = Lever
LU = Lungs
HT = Heart
PC = Pericardium
Besides those areas, the shape of our tongue depends on the condition of our organs’ health.
Do you regularly observe your own tongue?
- How is its shape? Normal, thin, thick, long or short, or has the side around the tongue tooth prints?
- What is the color? Red pale, red pink, red bluish, or pale?
- what is its coating? Thin white, thick white, or thick yellow?

Description Picture 01:
This is an example of a tongue in normal condition, not thin but not fat either. The Tongue looks fresh and moist. The color of the body of the tongue appears pale pink, this indicates that the condition of the qi and blood supply throughout the body is very good.

Description Picture 02:
The Tongue looks pale, swollen, and has teeth marks surrounded. You may have some of the following complaints: watery stools, frequent nausea, migraine, and also vomiting proceeding menstruation and acne on your face.

Tongue looks pale and thin, pale on the edges, and cracks in the middle. You may have some of the following complaints: exhausted, acute diarrhea with blood, hair loss, short menstruation cycle, intense fears.

The Tongue looks deep red, wide and short, thick yellow coating and dry. Client is 74 years old has stroke with hemiplegia, fever, loss memory, constipation, and weakened vision.
